Anytime Fitness is currently seeking qualified personal trainers who can deliver a fantastic workout experience to our clients. This position requires a strong ability to coach and manage time, motivating multiple clients in a group setting and 1 on 1 setting. The AF Trainer must focus on a well-rounded understanding of fitness, including endurance, strength, and power, using the tools given to optimize the clients’ experience and results. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct Fitness Assessments to gauge client’s current fitness level and monitor their progress.
  • Create customized training programs based on the client’s goals and assessment results
  • Program and implement individualized workouts for members. Energize and motivate members throughout the sessions
  • Deliver pre-designed workouts to groups of 4+ members
  • Be comfortable with member outreach, scheduling fitness orientations, selling personal training and scheduling billing using AF in house software
  • Build fitness attendance and retain current members while monitoring their progress
  • Proactively reach out to new members with a focus of marketing fitness programming and healthy lifestyles
  • Ensure safety of participants regarding heart rate and exercise technique. Advise clients on how to change nutritional and lifestyle habits
  • Provide options and challenges for specific exercises to accommodate various skill levels
  • Provide homework and assist clients with habit changes outside of sessions
  • Provide periodic updates to your fitness manager based on the progress of each of your clients
  • Handle member concerns when applicable and provide exceptional member service
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of current trends in the fitness industry
  • Ensuring the facility is neat and tidy and conducting cleanliness activities when required to ensure good presentation
  • Structure and maintain a consistent yet flexible work schedule

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Have a strong knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
  • Must acquire a fitness certification / personal trainer certification within 90 days of hire from an AF fitness approved education company such as ACSM, ACE, NASM, NSCA, ISSA, NSCA, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an exercise related field is preferred but not mandatory
  • Current CPR/AED Certification
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized
  • Positive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Desire and capacity to train all fitness levels
  • 1+ years of experience teaching groups or personal training in the fitness industry preferred
  • Must be able to safely lift and move up to 40lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
