As a Data Center Site Trainer, you will oversee training of security personnel at his/her assigned data center. The Site Trainer will ensure that all mandated on-the-job training and advanced security training is implemented in an effective and timely manner. The Data Center Site Trainer will also be responsible for implementation of C.L.E.E.T. Security Training of all security personnel.‚Äč

Main Responsibilities

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

Supervise security officer C.L.E.E.T. training program; prepare and teach appropriate training programs; conduct and/or oversee C.L.E.E.T. training for security personnel at assigned data center; data entry; filing and records maintenance; ensure training compliance

Identify training needs; customize training courses, content and materials; oversee and deliver training; evaluate effectiveness; and make adjustments as necessary to improve training and outcomes

Deliver appropriate course content and motivate trainees by implementing effective training methodologies in both classroom and practical/hands-on situations, use a variety of methodologies, techniques, and learning tools to maximize training effectiveness

Mentor and supervise Compliance Officers in all matters related to C.L.E.E.T. training and orientation

Monitor and measure effectiveness of all training programs, prepare compliance reports and identify areas for improvement associated with contract-specific policies, practices, and procedures

Provide regular reports to management regarding training initiatives, scheduling and effectiveness of employee and organizational development initiatives

Implement methods of measuring the effectiveness of training programs

The Ideal Candidate

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Ability to meet and maintain any licenses or certifications required by the state

Documented coursework and/or training in the delivery of adult educational material

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

Work history must indicate a proficiency in training methodologies, curriculum development, and course design

Must have one or more of the following:
A minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience with a legally recognized security or investigative agency within the previous five (5) years; or

A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a full-time certified law enforcement officer within the previous five (5) years; or

A minimum of one (1) year experience as an instructor at an accredited educational institution in the subject matter for which approval is requested, or in a related field within the last five (5) years

Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office

Effective oral and written communication skills

Active listening skills

Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively

Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately

Attention to detail


Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher

Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States

Proficient at utilizing current computer- based training technology and related equipment in the delivery of on-the-job training and advanced security training programs

Must be willing to work across shifts as needed to facilitate training

Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law

Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Office; minimal to no work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity: Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, sitting, with minimal to no stooping or kneeling
