Athletic Trainer

Henry Ford Health System

To provide prevention, emergency care, diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions in a clinic setting.
Minimum Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree minimum
  • Graduated from accredited NATA curriculum program or internship Program

Minimum Work Experience
  • 2 years experience
  • No previous record of patient abuse

Required Licenses/Certifications
  • NATA certified

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Officer Suite and hospital based applications
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with patients, clinic staff, physicians/physician extenders
  • Working knowledge of sanitation, personal hygiene and basic health, infection prevention and safety precautions in a clinic setting.
  • Age specific competencies

Preferred Qualifications
  • Epic (EMR) preferred
