Job Description

Fitness Coaches are responsible for delivering pre-designed workouts for 5-39 clients per class. This position requires a strong ability to coach and manage time, motivating multiple clients in a group setting. An OTF Coach must focus on a well-rounded theory of fitness, including endurance, strength and power, using the tools given to optimize the client’s experience and results.

Job Duties

  • Deliver pre-designed workouts to groups of up to 24 clients
  • Energize and motivate clients throughout the sessions
  • Build OTF attendance and retain current clientele
  • Ensure the safety of participants in regard to heart rate and exercise technique
  • Modify specific exercises to accommodate various skill levels and needs
  • Attend monthly fitness staff meetings and required educational presentations
  • Handle member concerns when needed
  • Assist Sales Associates, when needed, with OTF studio tours and sales
  • Possess intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique and body mechanics
  • Be able to multi-task and stay organized
  • Have positive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Have the desire and capacity to train all fitness levels

REQUIRED: Personal Trainer or Group Exercise certification from one of these 5 agencies: ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NASM, NSCA

PREFERRED: 1 year of personal training or group exercise experience


  • Flexible schedule, usually set one month ahead
  • Pay structure: $25-65/class depending on how many members are signed up for that class
  • Benefits offered – PTO and health benefits for full-time (32 hours). You may take a class anytime outside of your shift.

  • Personal Training: 1 year (Preferred)


  • ACE Certified Personal Trainer (Preferred)
  • NSCA or AFAA (Preferred)
  • ACSM Certified Personal Trainer (Preferred)
  • NASM Certified Personal Trainer (Preferred)
