MATERIAL HANDLER – I
Reports to: Materials Manager
FLSA: $13-$14 per hour
Classification: Full time (32 hours per week)

General Description of Position:
The ideal candidate for this position, based on tier level, will have to possess the ability to step in and effectively accomplish the current material handling functions and have the ability to multi- task, handle multiple projects, and change direction depending on priorities, with a strong sense of urgency and evolve as the company experiences continued growth. These positions play a critical role in ensuring that components are stored, kitted and issued the correctly and on time, using best practices to ensure materials are available to production on time, while maintaining the highest level of professionalism that Premier Manufacturing expect.
This position experiences exposure to a process oriented environment of a contract manufacturing business and an understanding of material transactions and the effects each has on the company as a whole. An organized, detail oriented person will excel in this role and will assist the organization to achieve its growth aspirations for the future. The right candidate must be able work issues from all angles, with strong analytical skills, from the smallest detail to the whole picture without losing focus of tasks assigned.
This position will be responsible for raw components inventory, storing, counting, and kitting inventory, and ensures tasks are completed in a timely fashion, and give input to process improvements. This role will require an analytical capability for problem solving, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills that when read or spoken are understood.
Education/Experience Required Material Handler I:
➢ 1+ years experience in material handling, or inventory in electronics (printed circuit board) industry is REQUIRED (those without this experience will not be considered)
➢ 1+ year experience in manufacturing environment is REQUIRED, contract manufacturing is a plus (those without this experience will not be considered)
➢ Personable and professional demeanor
➢ Good organization/interpersonal skills
➢ Follow general kitting/de-kit processes
➢ Ensure components are kitted per kit sheet to meet production requirements
➢ Verify counts, revisions, and clearly label components while storing inventory
➢ All other duties assigned
➢ Mathematical abilities
➢ High School Diploma/GED
Schedule: Wednesday – Saturday 8 hours per day.
