Duties and Responsibilities:

  • 40% of job spent Training and Coaching cast on Artistry
  • 30% of job spent on Client Education/Services in Artistry
  • 30% of job spent on Client Service/store support


Cast Training and Coaching on Artistry:

  • Use EXPERTISE to assist Education Lead in training cast members in Artistry related content
    • Teach and certify on Express Services and Custom Makeover, including any additional artistry certifications
    • Trend Looks
    • Animation services
    • Science of Sephora
    • Teaching clients how to recreate looks at home
  • Partner with District Trainer to support district education and event needs
  • Pro-actively communicate with store leadership on business opportunities, cast artistry skill and selling behaviors
  • Actively coach and develop peers in all aspects of artistry including technique, new technology, brands, trends, and basic color knowledge/best practices using What, Why, How
  • Ensure that color cast members consistently use Color IQ technology in all consultations where available
  • Execute and support company and Education initiatives
  • Prepare cast to guide and instruct clients through makeup application, customizing products, tools and techniques


Client Education:

  • Coach cast on how to educate clients during consultations by sharing tips, tricks, and techniques
  • Support Client Classes by providing Artistry expertise to elevate the client experience, where applicable


Client Service:

  • Utilize elevated selling skills to deliver and demonstrate high level, personalized color consultations while educating the client
    • Deliver a high level of service to diverse body of clients
    • Is aware of, and can manage time effectively in consultations
    • Build rapport and share extra artistry tips and tricks to elevate the client’s entire experience
  • Support and drive animation, marketing, and store driven events and special projects, when and where available
  • Ability to complete point of sale transactions using Mobile POS where available
  • When not conducting 45 minute one on one customized makeup applications, it is expected the SrA offers general on stage sales support


Qualifications – Requirements of the Job:

  • Proven sales success and positive CLI feedback
  • Open scheduling availability and able to work full time. Ability to flex schedule as needed to work weekends, before/after store hours, and evenings to drive store sales
  • Experience with, and full understanding of, the Sephora concept
  • SOS/Sephora 201 certified
  • Passion to educate, coach, and a desire to act as a mentor to other cast members
  • General Skincare knowledge: ability to recommend a basic skincare routine
  • Lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Move around “the stage”, “backstage”, and offices
  • Work in fragrance filled environment
  • Bend and stretch to stock shelves
  • Wear costume provided
  • Follow personal appearance guidelines as stated in the Employee Handbook
  • Consistent and reliable attendance


Qualifications – Experience Preferred:

  • Certified Color Expert
