Role and Responsibilities

The role of the Supply Chain Planner is to regularly review sales forecasts and actuals, analyze projected impact on inventory levels, and recommend changes to the purchasing and production teams with the goal of running inventory levels as low as possible while still meeting all sales opportunities on time.

· Analyze sales forecast and historical sales data to develop inbound inventory planning models

· Develop target inventory levels based on regional demand trends

· Coordinate and execute daily LTL/FTL shipments from primary stocking warehouses to regional distribution centers based on predicted demand

· Rebalance inventory across regional distribution centers if needed, in order to minimize total carrying costs and maintain quick inventory turns

· Assess service part demand across multiple SKUs and business units to supply warranty needs and standalone parts sales

· Regularly review safety stock requirements to minimize risk of customer backorder

· Work collaboratively with business partners to synthesize anticipated sales against total supply chain, and to ensure that inbound inventory aligns with independently purchased items

· Communicate forecast data with suppliers as needed to meet delivery requirements

· Other relevant responsibilities as need arises

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· This is a full-time position

· Ability to work independently and self-manage duties and tasks

· Ability to use customer management and order processing systems, with training

· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

· Ability to use Excel for data analysis, forecasting and a variety of other needs

· Ability to use customer management and order processing systems

· Familiarity with Manufacturing Resource Planning, including Bills of Material structures, management and use.

· Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write email correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

· Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, NetSuite

· Work at computer for duration of work day.

Preferred Skills

Experience in manufacturing environment. Experience in the production planning, purchasing and forecasting. Experience with logistics coordination.

This position does not have any supervisory responsibility

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Core days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position may require overtime.
