Job Functions

  • Performs various cleaning functions (e.g. sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, scraping, or spraying as appropriate)
  • Properly select, mix and apply cleaning agents appropriate to the task.
  • Power washes external vehicle (including wheels/tires) with appropriate solutions.
  • Disinfects restrooms (e.g. toilets, sinks, walls, floor, towel dispensers, and mirror)
  • Dusts and washes windows, mirrors, interior glass, window casing and tracks, blinds, and ledges.
  • Wipes down walls, hand-rails, overhead compartments to remove splash marks, finger prints and grease marks.
  • Rinses objects and places them on drying racks or use cloth, squeegees, or air compressors to dry surfaces.
  • Applies paints, polishes, conditioners, waxes, etc. to vehicles in order to preserve, protect, or restore color/condition.
  • Dumps waste from vehicle lavatory tanks.
  • Inspects parts, equipment, or vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.
  • Notifies management of any damages, malfunctions, or other irregularities of the vehicle.
  • Turns in any items left on the buses to be kept with the lost and found.
  • Cleans areas other than vehicles; including buildings and grounds as needed.
  • Restock supplies on bus, including garbage bags, toilet tissues, hand sanitizers, etc.
  • Keeps workers storage and work areas clean at all times
  • Move coaches on company property including in and out of wash bay area.
  • Performs minor repairs that can be accomplished with hand tools.
  • Fuel motorcoach with diesel and DEF.
  • Performs other tasks instructed by Supervision.


  • Education: High School or equivalent
  • Certifications:
    • Valid driver’s license required
  • Experience: None
  • Knowledge: None
  • Skills:
    • Safety Awareness
    • Positive Attitude
    • Basic reading, writing, and oral expression in English
  • Abilities:
    • Ability to stand/walk entire shift
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
    • Ability to perform pushing/pulling activities.
    • Ability to bend/stoop, squat, and kneel/crouch/crawl
    • Ability to climb, reach, and twist
  • Other:
    • Flexibility to work on holidays, weekends, and different shifts.
    • Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
    • May be required to work indoors/outdoors with noise/fumes, machines, cleaning chemicals, tools equipment and work aids.
    • Must obtain certified training to drive coach from driver instruction or qualified trainer.
