We are seeking compassionate and professional nurses to join the medical unit of choice in Southeastern Wisconsin. Consisting of 53 beds, the employees of 5MEDICAL serve a diverse population of patients such as those with respiratory diseases, infectious processes, complications of chronic conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, renal failure, diabetes, alcohol/opiate withdrawal and patients that require medical evaluation before transitioning to other care environments. Our patient management may include telemetry monitoring, continuous medication infusions, wounds, ventilators, tracheostomies, varieties of tubes and drains. 5MEDICAL is focused on the needs of the patient and helping one another to meet those needs. Hours: Rotating Holiday and every other weekend
Full Time / Part Time: Pool/As Needed – no Benefits
A nursing student in who will be entering the final semester of a registered nurse program. Obtains clinical knowledge and technical skills while working under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Under the supervision of the registered nurse, collects objective data according to the clinical practice and theory obtained from nursing education and in orientation. Utilizes this objective data and works under the supervision of the registered nurse in providing nursing care grounded in the ANA standards of nursing practice. May administer medications under the direct supervision of the RN after completing Pharmacology course (or equivalent content) in school.
- BLS (CPR)
- CNA in the state of Wisconsin
- Nursing student entering the final 6 months of a RN program
- Currently enrolled, and active without discipline, in an accredited school of nursing
- Available for New Employee Welcome and participate in Clinical Team Orientation
- Available to work at least one 8 hour shift per week upon completion of orientation
- Submission of recommendation letter by a clinical instructor from school
- Submission of clinical education skills checklist from school
- Submission of a current transcript (may be unofficial). The nurse intern must have passing grades in all nursing courses
