Health and Well-Being Specialist – Certified Personal Trainer / Health Coach / Group Fitness Instructor

Certified Personal Trainer / Health Coach with Group Fitness Instruction Experience (Health and Well-Being Specialist)

The Health and Well-Being Specialist will be responsible for the execution and delivery of integrated and comprehensive programs to improve the health and well-being of our clients. This includes relationship management, program oversight, employee engagement, outcomes reporting, and continuous quality improvement. This role develops and facilitates communication and engagement strategies to increase awareness and participation in a companys’ benefit and health and productivity initiatives, continuously fostering a culture of health, and ensuring program success and growth.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Dietetics / Nutrition and Wellness or related course of study. (Masters preferred)

· (MANDATORY) Nationally accredited certification in health coaching or personal training. (preferably both)

· Two or more years experience in wellness programming

-Group Fitness Class Instruction Experience Preferred

· Knowledge of wellness program models, trends and best practices with emphasis on implementation of program design, educational offerings, and prevention strategies.

· Ability to foster collaborative relationships in the development, implementation and administration of service and program delivery.

· Demonstrated success in designing customized health promotion solutions.

· Demonstrated excellence in leadership.

· Solid understanding of health promotion, work-site wellness, behavior change practices, measurement and evaluation strategies.

· Proven excellence in client relations.

· Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented. Strong execution skills and problem solving skills. Proficient in all Microsoft Office i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.

· Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

· Fluent in all areas of digital marketing and social media management

· Demonstrated ability to influence internal/external customers.

· Expertise in health promotion and preventive health.

· Solid understanding of the health care market and industry, health care products, services and delivery systems.

Responsibilities and Duties

The primary responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

·Provide health and wellness education and programming in forms of exercise, nutrition and work-life-balance that will move the client to a healthier more productive state of well-being

-Support in the solicitation and retention of new and existing corporate wellness clients through proven sales and marketing strategies and community engagement

· Support in the design and development of detailed strategic plans for health and wellness programming

· Lead in the development and the implementation of innovative programs to improve employee health and productivity

· Support in the development of wellness policies and procedures

· Keep current with wellness trends and scientific literature; recognize potential implications for the client base and recommend programs based on evidence

· Coordinate with external healthcare partners, such as third party administrators, medical, dental, vision, disability, employee assistance program, data management, and others as applicable

· Support in coordination of wellness committees and wellness champions

· Support in coordinating wellness initiatives / projects as they are developed in conjunction with wellness committees

· Support in the planning, promotion, delivery and evaluation of wellness incentive and reward programs

· Support in the development and management of annual calendar of events, training, education, programs and support comprehensive communications plan

· Design and develop educational materials

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of corporate wellness and health care reform, and constantly stay abreast of new trends and opportunities for future growth

· Provide monthly metrics/reports on recruitment, participation, activities, and results to date for review to leadership, interpreting results and providing action plans

· Interpret feedback to determine if / how the client may improve in the future; analyze statistical information from program results to identify trends and utilization in order to track progress and future programming needs that fit within the health and productivity plan

· Perform other duties as assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $12.00 – $20.00 per hour
